Palace hails ‘good’ satisfaction rating of Duterte Cabinet

MANILA — Malacañang on Sunday lauded the “good” satisfaction rating received by the Duterte Cabinet in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

According to the SWS, the net satisfaction rating of the Cabinet soared from “moderate” or +25 in June 2018 to “good” or +32 in September.

“Since the survey was conducted during the month of September when inflation was at 6.7 percent, the findings tell us that our people, indeed, recognize and appreciate the efforts of the Administration in stabilizing the prices of basic commodities and bringing a comfortable and dignified life for all,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a statement.

Panelo said the Duterte administration will not be complacent in addressing the problems of the country in order to provide better life for over 100 million Filipinos.

“Notwithstanding the favorable survey numbers, the members of the official family of the President will not grow complacent in addressing national issues but will continue to work tirelessly as we lay down the foundation of a stronger and more robust society,” he said.

For his part, Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar said the survey would inspire them to do their duties as public servant as instructed by the President.

“Tayo ay nagagalak at we will use this para magtrabaho pa, tumutok pa sa mga iniatas sa atin ng mahal na Pangulo. (We are happy and we will use this to work harder and focus on what our dear President has instructed to us),” Andanar said in an interview over radio dzBB.

Like the Cabinet, the Senate and the House of Representatives also got “good” satisfaction ratings, scoring +48 and +36, respectively.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court received a +31 (good) net satisfaction rating, the SWS said. (Jelly Musico/PNA)
