Suspected drug peddlers nabbed, P96-K ‘shabu’ seized in Naga City

LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives nabbed on Tuesday two suspected drug pushers and seized PHP96,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) in a drug operation in a village in Naga City, a police report said Wednesday.

Rudy Neil Estioco, 31, single of Barangay Del Rosario and Gil Moreno, 41, of Barangay Tabuco, both from Naga City, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tabuco, according to Chief Insp. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Police Regional Office-5 (PRO5) spokesperson.

The suspects were caught selling illegal drug to an anti-narcotic agent posing as a buyer. Seized from their possession were 20 grams of suspected shabu packed in two plastic sachets with a street value of PHP96,000, Calubaquib said.

The suspects are considered high-value targets as their names are included in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) drug watch list.

Estioco and Moreno are now detained at the Naga City jail, Calubaquib said. (Mar Serrano/PNA)
