NoCot animal dispersal program benefits 39 farmers

COTABATO CITY — Thirty-nine farmers in North Cotabato received small farm animals from the provincial government on Tuesday.

Dr. Rufino Sorupia, provincial veterinary office chief, said the recipient-farmers are from Kidapawan City and the towns of Kabacan, Magpet, and Carmen, all in North Cotabato.

Sorupia said the animals, comprised of hogs and goats, form part of the provincial government’s animal dispersal and propagation program.

“The beneficiaries are bound to return the first-born of their animals to our office to be distributed to other farmers under the propagation scheme,” Sorupia said.

Tuesday’s animal distribution took place at the covered court of the Provincial Agri-Center at the provincial capitol in Barangay Amas, Kidapawan City. (Noel Punzalan/PNA)
