Parts of QC, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Pasig go waterless Thursday

MANILA — A total of 371,000 customers of Manila Water Company Inc. (MWC) in 32 barangays in Mandaluyong City, San Juan City, Pasig City, and Quezon City will experience an eight-hour water interruption from 10 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday due to emergency leak repair.

The leak repairs will be at C. Benitez St. corner Mariposa St. along Horseshoe in Quezon City.

In an e-mail to the Philippine News Agency (PNA), Jeric T. Sevilla, Jr., Manila Water group head for corporate strategic affairs and communications.

The 13 affected barangays in Mandaluyong include Wack-Wack, Mauway, Addition Hills, Highway Hills, Malamig, Buwayang Bato, Barangka Ilaya, Plainview, Barangka Itaas, Barangka Ibaba, Pleasant Hills, and Hulo.

Barangays Kaularan, Bagong Lipunan, Horseshoe, Valencia, Immaculate Conception, San Martin de Porres, and Ugong Norte in Quezon City will also be affected.

Six barangays in Pasig City will also go waterless on said day. There are Ugong, Oranbo, Pineda, Bagong Ilog, Kapitolyo, and San Antonio.

To be affected in the City of San Juan are Barangays Greenhills, Addition Hills, Little Baguio, Pasadena, Corazon de Jesus, and West Crame. (Ben Cal/PNA)
