Weekend road repairs set in Metro Manila

MANILA — Road repairs in parts of Metro Manila are set to be conducted this weekend, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Friday.

In an advisory, the MMDA said the following roads will be closed for reblocking and repairs by the Department of Public Works and Highways from 11 p.m. of Friday, November 16 until 5 a.m. of Monday, November 19:

SOUTHBOUND:

C-5 Road near SM Aura (2nd outermost lane)
EDSA Scout Borromeo near GMA 7 (2nd lane from MRT lane) and Scout Albano – Panorama Development Corp. Building (beside sidewalk)
EDSA before Olivero footbridge (1st lane from sidewalk)

NORTHBOUND:

Tandang Sora Avenue fronting Petron Gas Station
Batasan Road near DSWD Central Office (4th lane from center)
Mindanao Avenue after Road 20 (truck lane) and fronting Petron Gas Station (truck lane)
Restoration/Concreting Works

Quirino Highway (Southbound) from Villa Sabina to Belton Drive (1st lane from sidewalk)
Visayas Ave (Southbound) Road 1 intersection (1st to half of 2nd lane from sidewalk)
Along Commonwealth Avenue (Villa Beatriz)

Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and use alternate routes instead.

Meanwhile, the Manila Water Company will undertake restoration activity on Edsa southbound corner Lion’s Road in Barangay Barangka Ilaya, Mandaluyong City at 10 p.m. of November 16 (Friday) to 5 a.m. of November 17 (Saturday).
