LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) conducted lectures and distributed school supplies to school children at Libsong Elementary School here on Friday as part of the 26th National Children’s Month Celebration.

The activity was headed by Senior Supt. Wilson Lopez, acting police provincial director of Pangasinan and Police Inspector Norman Florentino, Police Community Relations Branch (PCRB) chief.
In an interview Friday, Lopez said members of the PCRB and the PPO discussed about crime prevention, Anti-Child Abuse Law, Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Law, Anti-Rape Law, Anti- Bullying Law, and the ill effects of illegal drugs.
“PPO mascot, which is a namesake of Lopez, also danced to entertain the children attendees while snacks were also served to them. They also distributed school supplies and slippers to the school children,” he said.
He said there were a total of 1,000 attendees, including the parents and teachers.
This year’s National Children’s Month celebration’s theme is “Isulong: Tamang Pag-aaruga para sa lahat ng Bata”.
Prior to the lecture and outreach program of PPO, a fun walk was held to encourage proper child care.
