MANILA — The trough of Tropical Depression (TD) Samuel will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga Region and Davao Oriental, likely until Monday, the weather bureau said in its afternoon bulletin on Sunday.
Samuel was last eyed at 875 kilometers southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The TD has maximum sustained winds of 55 km per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 65 kph, heading west southwest at 25 kph.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon will continue to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds will blow over Northern Luzon and the eastern part of the country. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
