Comelec opens bids for printing of BOL primers

MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is inviting bidders for the printing of close to a million primers for the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) before the plebiscite to be held on January 21, 2019.

According to the Invitation to Bid released Monday, the poll body will be printing a total of 997,240 pieces of BOL primer/handouts.

The price per handout is PHP36 for a total Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) of PHP35,900,640.

The primers will be delivered to all Offices of Election Officers in participating local government units (LGUs).

“Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening,” said the Comelec – Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).

All interested bidders may already acquire a copy of the bidding documents from the BAC Secretariat Office at the COMELEC main office in Intramuros, Manila until Dec. 10 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of PHP25,000.

A pre-bid conference for all prospective bidders is set at the FEMII Building in Intramuros, Manila on Nov. 26 at 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, the submission of bids is set on Dec. 10 at 9 a.m. at the BAC Secretariat Office.

Opening of bids shall then commence on the same day at 10 a.m. at the FEMII Building.
