MANILA — The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) on Friday opened the application for the vacancy in the 15-man Supreme Court (SC).

The council said interested applicants have until Jan. 22, 2019 to file their applications and their requirements.

“The date of actual receipt by the JBC of the complete documentary requirements shall be deemed as the date of filing,” read the announcement signed by SC Clerk of Court and JBC Ex Officio Secretary Edgar Aricheta.

In the same announcement, the JBC also opened the application for two seats at the Legal Education Board (LEB), particularly, the positions of chairperson and regular member.

This as the terms of LEB chairperson Emerson Aquende and regular member Zenaida Elepano both end on Jan. 13 next year.
