A4 group jab masterlist underway in Quezon City

The Quezon City government is now finalizing its masterlist for Priority Group 4 or essential workers’ COVID-19 vaccination.

The city government opened the registration for companies and agencies within the city on top of its online registration. This will give employers the platform to register and schedule their workers’ inoculation.

Mayor Joy Belmonte said they have yet to start the A4 vaccination rollout pending sufficient vaccine supply.

“Gigil na kaming magsimula. Ang hinihintay na lang namin ay ipadala na sa atin ang bakuna, and we are ready to roll,” she said on Monday (June 7).

The city is expecting 100,000 doses from the newly delivered one million CoronaVac doses on June 6. However, authorities have yet to decide on whether the doses will be allocated to essential workers or to Priority Groups A1 to A3.

The city government estimated that it can accommodate around 24,000 initial A4 vaccine recipients.

The National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 guidelines will still be followed, wherein essential private sector workers will be prioritized, to be followed by government and informal workers.

Quezon City is also looking for additional vaccinators to cover shifting hours and to work in additional vaccination sites. Belmonte said volunteers will be compensated “to encourage” them to participate.

Meanwhile, Belmonte said only 3% of first dose recipients missed their second dose who are now being assisted to complete their dosage. – Report from Louisa Erispe/AG-rir
