Cebu City, umapela ng dagdag na healthcare workers para sa kanilang vaccination sites

Kasabay ng pagbubukas ng maraming vaccination sites sa lungsod ng Cebu ay ang paglaki ng pangangailangan nito ng mga healthcare workers.

Nanawagan ang lokal na pamahalaan sa Department of Health (DOH) para sa karagdagang healthcare workers na magsasagawa ng pagbabakuna kontra COVID-19 sa Cebu City.

“We are now experiencing a lack of manpower such as doctors and nurses,” saad ni City Councilor Dave Tumulak.

Sa kasalukuyan, siyam ang vaccination sites ng lungsod at mayroon pang ibang mga pasilidad na nasa ilalim ng Project Balik Buhay.

“We also need the support coming from our volunteers to coordinate. If someone, doctors, and nurses wanted to volunteer themselves, they should coordinate sa City Health Department,” dagdag ng konsehal.

Ayon sa Department of Health (DOH)-7, handa itong tumulong sa pangangailangan ng lokal na pamahalaan.

Kabilang ang Cebu City sa NCR (National Capital Region) Plus 8 kung saan kasama rito ang Metro Manila, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Metro Cebu, at Metro Davao.

Ang mga local government units (LGUs) na sumasakop sa mga ito ay sama-samang nanumpa sa idinaos na commitment ceremony at symbolic vaccination para sa priority group A4 sa Pasay City ngayong Lunes (Hunyo 7).

Nakiisa rin ang mga nasa pribadong sektor sa kanilang pangako ng pakikiisa at suporta sa national vaccination program.

Samantala, sinuspinde ng lokal na pamahalaan ng lungsod ng Cebu ang liquor permit ng limang establisyemento dahil sa mga paglabag nito sa health at safety protocols ng lungsod. – Ulat ni John Aroa / CF- jlo
