About 1.6-M Filipino voters start casting votes for May 2022 elections

Over 1.6 million Filipino voters overseas will be the first to cast their votes for the May 2022 elections on Sunday, April 10.

According to the Commission on Elections (Comelec), there are a total of 1,697,215 registered Filipino voters worldwide.

Overseas Filipinos will only vote for the president, vice president, 12 senators, and one party-list group.

They will be voting in the Philippine embassies, consulates, or other official polling places in the country or territory they reside or work.

Overseas voting will end on May 9.

Meanwhile, local absentee voting will start on April 27 and will end on April 29. – bny
