Tropical Storm “Agaton” brought heavy rains and strong winds to Limasawa Island, Leyte on Sunday (April 10).
According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management (MDRRMO) in the city, there were no evacuees reported in the area.
However, boats and slopes were no longer allowed to travel by the sea due to high tide.
The MDRRMO said the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and the Limasawa Emergency Rescue Team have been alerted for the possible adverse effects of “Agaton.”
Agaton continues to have maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour (km/h) and gustiness of up to 105 km/h. –KC/gb
