Alaska eliminates SMB with QF rout

MANILA — Alaska nailed the third seat in the PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals after ousting San Miguel, 96-85, at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City Wednesday night.

The Aces pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Beermen, 21-7, en route to the rout.

Mike Harris made 25 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, and one steal for Alaska, which will take on the winner of the Meralco-Phoenix series in the next round. Meralco forced a deciding game after a 90-74 rout of Phoenix earlier.

Simon Enciso added 15 points and three assists.

Kevin Murphy tallied 19 markers, eight boards, and five dimes for SMB.
