‘Amihan’ to bring rains over North Luzon

MANILA — The northeast monsoon or “hanging amihan” will bring rains over Northern Luzon from Thursday to Friday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 4-p.m. weather bulletin, which is effective for 24 hours, PAGASA said the Ilocos and Cordillera regions, including Cagayan Valley, would experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the other parts of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by local thunderstorms.

Rough to very rough coastal waters will prevail over Northern Luzon due to strong to gale force winds.

Central Luzon will also experience moderate to rough coastal waters caused by moderate to strong winds.

The rest of the country will have slight to moderate coastal waters due to light to moderate winds. (PNA)
