‘Amihan’ season begins: PAGASA

MANILA — The cooler season of “Amihan” or northeast monsoon has come, the weather bureau announced on Friday afternoon.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Benison Estareja said the public could expect the surges in cold temperatures, especially in the early morning.

“Cold temperatures will be felt in a large portion of Luzon, as well as in the Visayas,” he added.

Estareja explained that during the “Amihan” season, the northeast wind flow is expected to further intensify and become dominant over most parts of the country. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
