NAIA – Another happy tourist expressed his gratitude to MIAA police officers who helped him recover his bag last July 21, 2019.

According to the story shared by Mr. Shota Shirakashi on his Facebook account, he boarded a P2P bus from Baguio City to NAIA Terminal 3 and was supposed to take an airport loop bus to Terminal 1 for his scheduled departure flight when he noticed that his bag was missing.

Mr. Shirakashi was in a quandary how he can get his bag back. Sensing that he was in trouble, Airport Police Officers Mark Anthony Catillo, Jonel Basa and Christian Galulu immediately attended to the report. He narrated to the airport police that he left his bag inside the bus he took from Baguio.

Mr. Shirakashi together with APOII Castillo and APOs I Basa and Galulu immediately proceeded to JOY bus terminal in Pasay City and luckily, the bus just arrived in the terminal. With the help of the bus driver, Mr. Shirakashi’s bag was seen left on his seat.

Cash amounting to PHP 3,000, assorted identification cards, credit card and important documents, remained intact and complete inside the bag when found.

“I salute the effort exerted by the police officers who helped me recover my bag, ” Mr. Shirakashi said.

MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal thanked his men who helped Mr. Shirakashi. “The effort may be simple but it means a lot to someone who knows no one in a foreign land. They should serve as inspiration to the rest of our police force in NAIA. Kudos to these men, ” said MIAA GM Monreal.

The airport chief once again appeals to the public to approach nearby help desks for any need for assistance when in NAIA.
