Bayanihan 3, pasado na sa committee level

Umusad na sa Mababang Kapulungan ang panukalang Bayanihan 3 o ang panibagong stimulus package bilang tugon sa COVID-19.

Kinumpirma ni Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo nitong Lunes (Mayo 3) na ipinasa na ng House Committee on Economic Affairs at Committee on Social Services ang panukalang batas noong Biyernes (Abril 30).

Sinabi ng mambabatas sa isang press briefing na P405.6 bilyon ang laman ng panukala. Kabilang na rito ang P1,000 na ayuda para sa bawat Pilipino. 

“The most basic kind is the ‘sana all’ ayuda which is 1,000 per head. We’ll be doing this in two tranches. Tranche 1 is a total of P108 billion, then after three months, the second tranche, so another P108 billion, for a total of P216 billion,” ani Quimbo.

Nakapaloob din daw rito ang ayuda sa mga maliliit na negosyo na naparalisa, mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng sakit na COVID-19, overseas Filipino workers, at mga guro. 

“Parang community pantry. That’s really going to be the approach here. So inaasahan na lang natin talaga na ‘yung pinaka nangangailangan ang siya pong mag-aavail nitong P1,000,” dagdag niya. 

Umaasa naman ang kongresista na mas gagamitin ngayon ang teknolohiya at gagawing online na lang ang pamimigay ng ayuda.

Wala pang eksaktong timeline kung maipapasa raw ang panukala, pero hindi niya nakikitang sesertipikahang urgent ito ni Pangulong Duterte. 

Target naman nilang maisalang agad ito sa plenaryo sa pagbabalik-sesyon ng Kongreso ngayong Mayo. – Ulat ni Daniel Manalastas/AG-jlo
