Bernal conducts inspection at the Batasang Pambansa

Film and television director Joyce Bernal conducted an inspection at the Batasang Pambansa for the forthcoming State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

According to Bernal, the 5th SONA will revolve around the theme pro-Filipino and the concept will be simple due to the limited guests attending, given the current situation brought about by the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

She admitted that the technical aspect of this year’s SONA is more complicated with the use of video conferencing.

“Nagpre-record na kami ng iba so everything is pre-recorded except for the speech ng President. Dati may choir. May bawas-tao so pre-recorded. Nag-prepare ako ng materials na pre-recorded bago ‘yung SONA (We have pre-recorded other [videos], so everything is pre-recorded except for the speech of the President. There used to be a choir. [This time,] there are lesser people so it is pre-recorded. I have prepared pre-recorded materials before the SONA),” Bernal shared.
