BI implements travel restrictions for inbound flights

Travel restrictions will still be implemented even if inbound flights are permitted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Bureau of Immigration (BI) Spokesperson Dana Sandoval has stated that foreign nationals are not allowed to enter the Philippines except for foreigners with Filipino spouses and parents, foreign government officials and foreign cabin crew members.

However, foreign nationals, Filipinos with permanent residence visas or student visas, and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are allowed to exit the country.

Meanwhile, the BI has reduced the number of its employees due to the enhanced community quarantine. Only 51 employees are on duty at the NAIA to assist incoming passengers. – PTV News
