Blackhawks deliver vaccines to Isabela, Batanes

Two (2) S-70i Blackhawks, the Philippine Air Force’s newest utility helicopters, delivered COVID-19 vaccines, ancillary supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to Isabela, Cagayan, and Batanes on March 15, 2021.

A total of 600 doses of Sinovac vaccines were transported to Headquarters 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army in Gamu, Isabela; 290 doses of Sinovac vaccines, 38 boxes of ancillary supplies, and 20 boxes of PPEs were flown to Basco, Batanes; and, 200 doses of Sinovac vaccines and one (1) box of ancillary supplies were delivered to Calayan, Cagayan. Meanwhile, 128 doses of Sinovac and 94 doses of Astra Zeneca vaccines, 3 boxes of ancillary supplies, and 20 boxes of PPEs were airlifted to Dinapigue, Divilacan, and Palanan, Isabela.

The vaccines were escorted by representatives from the Department of Health and were facilitated by the personnel from the Tactical Operations Group 2, Philippine Air Force in Cauayan, Isabela.

The said vaccines will be administered to the priority sectors particularly the AFP Medical Frontliners under the command of Joint Task Force “TALA”.
