BOC seizes smuggled cigarettes worth ₱260M

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized a 20-footer container carrying smuggled cigarettes.

According to Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, the BOC questioned the ship LTC Yellow River and Orion Dockyard in Orion, Bataan after noticing the dismount of rice and cigarettes.

Following the inspection, it was discovered that the cigarettes are worth ₱260 million. 3 more trucks have been examined in the towns of Hermosa, Orion, and Limay in Bataan.
