Bong Go files candidacy for vice presidency

By Pearl Gumapos

Sen. Bong Go on Saturday (Oct. 2) filed his candidacy for the position of vice president in the 2022 national elections at the Sofitel Manila Hotel.

Go has attained 7% support as a vice presidential candidate according to a September Pulse Asia survey.

Among Go’s plans is to continue the fight against illegal drugs, corruption, and criminality in the country.

He also aims to help the economy recover from the pandemic.

Go said he will continue, as well, the Build, Build, Build projects that were started during the Duterte administration in order to ensure a more comfortable and peaceful life for Filipinos.

“I intend to pursue and expand these efforts further towards overcoming this pandemic by achieving economic recovery, providing job opportunities, and addressing hunger and poverty. Sisiguraduhin nating walang maiiwan sa ating muling pagbangon bilang isang mas matatag na bansa,” Go said.

He will continue to serve the poor and is determined to become a bridge between them and the government.

Go says the poor will be his priority.

“I will continue to serve especially those who need government attention the most, iyong mga mahihirap. I am determined to fulfill my role as a bridge for the poor, the needy, the hopeless, and the helpless, connecting them to their government so that their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed during these trying times. Kapakanan nila ang pinaglalaban dito,” he said.

– bny
