BOQ: Online health pass platform to ease travel inconvenience to PH

Starting Sept. 1, all inbound passengers to the Philippines will be required to register at One Health Pass three days prior to the scheduled flight.

Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) Director Roberto Salvador, Jr. said in a Laging Handa public briefing on Monday (Aug. 30) that One Health Pass will automate and decrease the paper trail of documents that an individual must submit to concerned agencies.

Non-overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and foreign nationals must also pre-book a DOT-accredited quarantine hotel 10 days before their scheduled flights.

The BOQ conducted a two-week trial for One Health Pass, where 80% of inbound passengers here have utilized the system.

According to a statement by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Friday (Aug. 27), the One Health Pass is an online platform that aims to promote the convenient and seamless movement of international travelers from departure from the country of origin to arrival at the local government unit of destination. – Report from Karen Villanda / CF -rir
