BuCor Chief Bantag tests positive for COVID-19

Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director-General Gerald Bantag has confirmed that he tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

BuCor Dir. Gen. Bantag has been experiencing several symptoms such as fever, cough, and headache for the past few days. His swab test result later came out positive for COVID-19.

He suspects that he might have caught the virus from his driver and security personnel who have initially tested positive for COVID-19. However, he does not see the need to be confined in a hospital with the symptoms gone.

Meanwhile, BuCor Spokesperson Colonel Gabriel Chaclag is currently recovering after initially testing positive for the virus. – Report from Kenneth Paciente
