Bulacan police partners with Smart to boost anti-crime efforts

CAMP GEN. ALEJO S. SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan – The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) and Smart Communications Inc. have joined hands to strengthen anti-criminality campaign.

Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, provincial director of the BPPO, and Leonides G. Nivado, regional development head of Smart Communications Inc., led the signing of a memorandum of agreement on Monday for the launching of the Smart Infocast, a web-based communications solution that will facilitate dissemination of information and services of the police to the public.

Bersaluna thanked Smart for providing a free platform to BPPO that could help the police force especially during emergencies and other occurrences when they have to make important announcements.

“Smart Infocast will allow Bulacan PPO to send general information, advisories, and announcements to the community and other stakeholders,” Bersaluna said.

He said the Smart Infocast will feature user-specific data such as a calendar of activities, emergency numbers and other relevant information.

“It will also serve as one of the essential tools in sending information with regards to confidential operations, as well as good deeds of every police officer, thus facilitate dissemination of information and services of the PNP to the public, and quality service at all times,” Bersaluna added. (Manny Balbin/PNA)
