Bulacan Rep. Henry Villarica tests positive with COVID-19

House Secretary-General Jose Luis Montales has confirmed that Bulacan Representative Henry Villarica tested positive with Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The Bulacan representative last went to work on March 4 and attended an event on March 8 with Baliwag, Bulacan Mayor Ferdie Estrella, who also tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Sec. Gen. Montales, Rep. Villarica was admitted in a hospital on March 12 due to pneumonia but is now in stable condition. He also confirmed that the staff of the Bulacan representative are asymptomatic.

Bulacan Rep. Villarica is the second congressman to contract the virus after ACT-CIS representative Eric Yap.
