Cagayan De Oro’s top most wanted person nabbed in Quezon City

The top most wanted person of Cagayan de Oro was captured in Quezon City during an intelligence operation on Thursday.

PNP Chief Police General Debold M Sinas announced the arrest of JOEL MAGLANGIT Y Yanez aka at 7:10 AM on Februry 4, 2021 along Quirino Highway, Brgy.Talipapa, Novaliches, Quezon City by personnel of Intelligence Special Operations Division Intelligence Group (ISOD IG) (Lead Unit), together with Regional Intelligence Unit 10 (RIU10), Cagayan De Oro City Police Station, Talipapa Police Station 3, Quezon City Police District.

Maglangit was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Solayman G Macata-on on RTC Branch 24 of Cagayan De Oro City on January 25, 2010 for the crime of Murder for the death of Eddie Apus in Zone 3, Brgy. Baikingon, Cagayan De Oro City on October 24, 2009.

According to Chief PNP Sinas, Maglangit is a member of Flores Robbery/Hold-Up Group operating in Cagayan De Oro City and listed as Top Most Wanted Person of Region 10.

“Our campaign against most wanted persons will continue to intensify to give justice to the victims who have been seeking recompence for many years”, PNP Chief Sinas said.

The arrested suspect is now under the temporary custody of Station 3, Quezon City Police District for documentation and proper disposition before turning over to court of origin.
