Cagayan town to kick off Brigada Eskwela on May 25

GONZAGA, Cagayan — The Department of Education (DepEd) in Region 2 is set to kick off this year’s Brigada Eskwela on May 25 in Rebecca National High school in this municipality.

DepEd region 2 public affairs unit chief Ferdinand Narciso, in an interview Tuesday, said a motorcade will commence the cleanup of public schools to prepare for the start of classes next month.

Narciso said with this year’s theme “Pagkakaisa Para sa Handa, Ligtas, at Matatag na Paaralan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan”, the Brigada Eskwela aims to bring together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort and resources to this annual undertaking.

“We want that the schools in the region are prepared and ready to be used by children and teachers,” he said.

After the motorcade, education stakeholders will start the cleanup of their respective schools and the repair of chairs, tables and school buildings which have damages. (Simeon Dilan/PNA)
