Calabarzon police official, wife gunned down in Antipolo

MANILA–A Calabarzon police official and his common law wife were shot dead by a motorcycle-riding gunman Friday morning in Antipolo City.

In a report to Camp Crame, the Rizal Provincial Police Office said Police Supt. Ramy Tagnong, of 73 YCM compound, Brgy. Mahabang Parang, Angono, Rizal died while undergoing treatment at the Antipolo Doctors Hospital. Tagnong suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Tagnong is a lawyer and the chief of the Police Regional Office 4A Legal Affairs Office.

The police official’s common law wife, Angela Hadap, 36, also died from three gunshot wounds on her back and on her left arm.

Initial police report said that an unidentified suspect, who was on board a black Kawasaki motorcycle, fired on the victims while traversing a road in Brgy. Dalig 1, Antipolo City on board a red Toyota Innova.

Police are still looking into the motive of the killing.
