Carmona launches modified quarantine pass with QR code

The City of Carmona in Cavite has launched a modified quarantine pass where a QR code is present to expedite contact tracing in the area. The modified Q-pass may be used by 3 more members of a family.

Individuals who can use the pass must be 21to 59 years old. Before obtaining a QR code, a registration with the Carmona COVID-19 Tracer (CCT) application is required. Around 62,000 residents have already registered for the QR code.

The local government unit (LGU) will be able to trace the places where the holder of the pass has gone to using the QR code.

The establishments and sari-sari stores have their QR codes posted. Due to its success, the Carmona Municipal Government has imparted the CCT app to nearby areas such as Cavite and Laguna.

Meanwhile, the local government will launch a new mobile app called Disaster Health Assistant and Response for Emergency Situation or DHARES that can be used not only for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) tracing but also for accidents and emergencies.
