MALASIQUI, Pangasinan – The Pangasinan Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 is requesting the national government to place the whole province, including Dagupan City, under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions from Sept. 1 to 15.
TUGUEGARAO CITY – Piat town in Cagayan Province has been placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from Aug. 29 to Sept. 11 as the number of active COVID-19 cases in the town soared, the mayor said Saturday (Aug. 28).
The Department of Health (DOH), the University of the Philippines-Philippine Genome Center (UP-PGC), and the University of the Philippines-National Institutes of Health (UP-NIH) report on Sunday (Aug. 29) the detection of 516 Delta (B.1.617.2) variant cases, 73 Alpha (B.1.1.7) variant cases, 81 Beta (B.1.351) variant cases, and 41 P.3 variant cases in the latest batch of whole genome sequencing.
