MANILA – The Metro Manila Council (MMC) on Wednesday (Aug. 18) said it is leaving to the national government the decision to extend or downgrade the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) being implemented in the region.
Pregnant women and those who are planning to get pregnant can get vaccinated against COVID-19, experts said, amid their increased risk of having severe COVID-19 compared to non-pregnant individuals and due to the emergence of coronavirus variants.
The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) remains at low-risk with regard to the average daily attack rate of COVID-19, Health Minister Dr. Bashary Latiph said last Aug. 17 in a press conference.
