President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, said he formed a team headed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to look into issues of devolution and decentralization of the functions of the local and national governments arising from the implementation of the Mandanas-Garcia ruling.
The Office of the Vice President (OVP), headed by Vice President Sara Duterte, launched on Wednesday, Aug. 3, the "Libreng Sakay" program aimed at easing the daily commute of Filipinos returning to work or schools.
The government assured that election workers are still covered by support and benefits despite President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s move to veto House Bill 9652 which seeks to exempt poll workers’ honoraria and other benefits from taxation.
