Typhoon “Goring” has maintained its strength while approaching the Luzon Strait and will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” bringing rains over some parts of the country.
The southwest monsoon (habagat) continues to affect the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao as of the 4:00 p.m. bulletin Sunday of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will continue to experience the effects of the “habagat” or southwest monsoon, the weather bureau said Saturday.
A huge part of the country will experience warm weather and rain showers due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said Monday, Aug. 14.
