Committed to fulfilling his campaign promise of a salary increase for teachers, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has already ordered the Department of Education (DepEd) to conduct a study regarding a long-term approach on how to increase teachers’ salaries, on top of the wage hike they receive under the Salary Standardization Law.
The Marcos administration is relying on media literacy to combat misinformation and disinformation and called for strong public support through collaboration with various stakeholders and the private sector.
