MANILA – Tropical Storm “Maring” has intensified and remains a large tropical cyclone, the weather bureau reported Saturday (Oct. 9 ).

Heavy rains brought by Tropical Depression Maring may trigger flooding in major river systems in the Eastern Visayas region, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned on Friday (Oct. 8 ).
