The northeasterly surface windflow affecting Northern Luzon will bring partly cloudy skies with isolated rains over most parts of the country, the weather bureau said Saturday, Oct. 14.
The “habagat” (southwest monsoon) season is officially over as the country is gradually transitioning to the northeast monsoon or “amihan” season, which may be apparent and declared in the coming weeks, the weather bureau said Thursday.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are forecast over Metro Manila, Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, and Calabarzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin.
Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Mindanao, Bicol Region, Eastern and Central Visayas due to the LPA's trough, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 5 a.m. weather bulletin Tuesday.
The weather bureau said Sunday it is monitoring three weather systems, including Typhoon “Koinu” (formerly “Jenny”), outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
The whole country will experience improved weather conditions as Typhoon Koinu (formerly Jenny) continues to move away from the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the weather bureau said Saturday.
