In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the shear line affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Cagayan Valley region and Aurora province.
The shear line or the tail-end of a frontal system will bring light to moderate, and at times, heavy rains over the Bicol region, Northern and Eastern Samar, and Samar on Saturday, Feb. 12.
Some areas in the country will experience rains caused by the northeast monsoon or amihan affecting Luzon and the shear line affecting the Visayas, the weather bureau said Friday (Feb. 11).
Rain showers are expected in some areas due to two weather systems – the shear line and the easterlies – affecting the country, the weather bureau said Thursday (Feb. 3).
