Cavite MSME bizcon reset to Dec. 6 in Tagaytay City

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – Event organizers of the 4th Cavite MSMEs Business Conference  on Wednesday said the conference initially scheduled on Nov. 17 has been postponed to Dec. 6 at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in Tagaytay City.

Event host Cavite, through its Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCLEDO), said the postponement was due to some changes in the conference resource speakers’ schedule.

The conference will still highlight the role of human resource management as an important tool in productivity and efficiency.

Expected to grace the opening program are Cavite Governor Jesus Crispin Remulla as inspirational speaker, while Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri, Chair of the Senate Committee on Trade, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, will deliver his keynote address.

PCLEDO head Alvin S. Mojica will open the gathering of local micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs).

The forum proper will discuss various topics such as Performance: The Key to Management Effectiveness, Labor Laws for MSMEs, Employee and Engagement as Enhancer to Productivity and Profitability, with resource speakers from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and well known organizational and business advisors.

Ma. Isabel N. Punzalan, president of Delfa’s Food Products as one of the most successful business enterprises in Cavite, will share with participants her success story.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Director Noly Guevara is also expected to present the challenges confronting MSMEs and their support to the MSME sector.

Cavite’s PCLEDO is mandated to implement programs and services in the promotion and development of cooperatives, MSMEs, and in encouraging enterprising activities in the province in consonance with national developmental thrusts, legislation and policies.

Conference participation comes with a minimal fee and interested entrepreneurs are advised to register in advance since no walk-in participants will be accepted.

Deadline for confirmation and payment is set on or before Dec. 1 while registration for the day-long conference opens at 8 a.m. on Dec. 6. (PNA)
