Cavite state U to host 2nd Int’l Research Confab in June

INDANG, Cavite – The Cavite State University (CvSU), in partnership with Philippine Criminal Justice Research Society, Inc. (PCJRS), and Center for Human Rights, Chinese University of Hongkong, will hold the 2nd International Research Conference at the S.M. Rolle Hall in this state university campus here from June 6 to 8.

Lady Aileen A. Orsal from the office of Secretariat Chair Dr. Susan G. Tan said this year’s conference, themed “Criminal Justice Responses to Human Trafficking in Asia and Beyond,” will focus specifically at the gender dimension of human trafficking amid current political and social setting from here and abroad.

Orsal said the three-day interdisciplinary conference is open for papers across disciplines, including – but not limited to – criminology, criminal justice, security, sociology, anthropology, economics, gender studies, cultural studies, migration studies, politics, international relations, social services, among others.

Organizers will provide a premier interdisciplinary platform so participants, from researchers, practitioners and educators, may present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends and concerns.

The forum will also tackle practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the areas of human trafficking and gender-related issues.

The paper should include an abstract, rationale, objectives, methodology, discussion/interpretation, conclusions, policy implications, and recommendations.

On the other hand, the poster should clearly depict rationale/significance, objectives, methodology, discussion/interpretation, conclusions, policy implications and recommendations

All entries (papers and posters) must also adhere to the set guidelines by the organizers.

All abstracts should be received by the Conference Secretariat on or before May 15 for screening and approval of its presentation during the conference.
