Cebu City waiting for more 5-11 years old vax supply

Nearly 3,000 children aged five to 11 years old have been vaccinated in Cebu City, following the Department of Health’s (DOH) allocation of 6,000 reformulated Pfizer vaccine doses.

The city government temporarily suspended the vaccination of the younger age group pending the delivery of additional vaccine supply.

The remaining 3,000 doses of the first batch of vaccines will be used for the second dose of the vaccinated children.

“I believe that tomorrow, we will have an announcement if we can use the set aside or stored second doses to be used as a first dose for 5-11 years old for continuance of our vaccination,” Visayas Vaccination Operation Center Spokesperson Dr. Mary Jean Loreche said. – Report from John Aroa (PTV Cebu)/AG-rir
