Cemeteries closed from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has approved Resolution No. 72 stating that all cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbariums shall be closed from October 29 until November 4.

However, 30% maximum capacity shall be allowed from September 17 to November 15 aside from the said dates.

According to Presidential and IATF-EID Spokesperson Harry Roque, the closure of cemeteries and limited capacity are part of the government’s response to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Authorities are reminding the public to strictly follow the minimum health standards in cemeteries.
