CHR slams several hospitals for rejecting patient

The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) has condemned several hospitals for the rejection of a non-COVID-19 patient.

The CHR has reminded that all Filipinos have a right to go to hospitals for medical services. According to CHR Spokesperson Jacqueline De Guia, the government only wishes to save the lives of Filipinos especially in times of crisis. She pointed out that the life of the patient who has been denied admission will be put in peril.

The CHR has also urged hospitals to strictly implement RA 109320 or the Anti-Hospital Deposit Law where the hospital is required to accept the patient before acquiring payment. – PTV News
