Cloudy skies, isolated rains over PH Saturday

MANILA — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies, and isolated rainshowers may prevail over the country on Saturday, the state weather bureau said.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the northeast monsoon affecting extreme northern Luzon will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Batanes.

The easterlies are affecting the rest of the country, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao, northern Mindanao, and Palawan.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate to occasionally strong winds will prevail over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, and eastern section of Visayas and of Mindanao. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
