Cloudy skies, isolated rains to prevail over parts of PH

The shear line and the northeast monsoon will continue to affect the eastern section of Southern Luzon and the rest of Luzon, respectively, on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over the Bicol Region, Quezon, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur due due to the shear line and easterlies. 

The weather bureau warned of possible flash floods and landslides that could occur in the said areas during moderate to at times heavy rainfall.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon or locally known as “amihan”.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA likewise advised the public that severe thunderstorms could result in flash floods and landslides. 

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters will be experienced over Luzon while Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas. – avds
