COMELEC opens voters’ registration starting Sept. 1

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will re-open the voters’ registration starting Tuesday, September 1.

The filing of applications will start on Tuesday until Saturday from 8AM to 3PM at the Office of the Election Officer. According to COMELEC, there will be no satellite voters’ registration.

The agency has advised that before going to the Office of the Election Officer, a form from www.comelec.gov.ph must be downloaded and filled out. But it must be signed in front of the election officer.

On the day of registration, the registrants are required to wear a face mask and face shield, they must sanitize, step on the footbath and have their own pens in answering the health declaration and application forms. The face mask and face shield will only be removed when taking a photo for the biometrics requirement.
