Congressional Spouses to launch an Art Exhibit in Partnership with Pinto Art Gallery

The Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc. (CSFI), headed by its new President and Chairperson Congresswoman Lani Cayetano, will launch “Pinto sa Kongreso: An Art Appreciation Exhibit”, a fund-raising art exhibition on September 23, 2019, (Monday) 1:00 pm at the South Wing Lobby of the House of Representatives. The art exhibit is in partnership with the Pinto Art Gallery and will run until October 3.

Guests of honor include Speaker Alan Peter S. Cayetano and Dr. Joven Cuanang from the Pinto Art. This is the first project of the CSFI in the Eighteenth Congress.

“The Art Exhibit envisions an exhibition that generously present contemporary art practice, putting a spotlight on the remarkable Filipino talent, creativity, and imagination. Proceeds from the exhibit will be for the benefit of the livelihood programs and projects of the CSFI”, Congresswoman Lani Cayetano said.

The exhibit will feature over 75 prominent artists in Philippine Visual Arts. Their works that portray various themes, from abstract expressions to figurative depictions of every day life to fantastical representations of surreal imagery, enrich the Filipino culture that captures the noble spirit of the nation

CSFI is a non-stock, non-profit organization composed of the spouses of the members of the House of Representatives. It aims to support the legislative initiatives of the Congressmen through the implementation of meaningful socio-civic projects that meet the short-term and long-term needs of their respective constituents.

As a cause-oriented organization, CSFI is committed to support and complement the legislative and public service mandate of the House of Representatives and its members through socio-civic and other developmental initiatives. In collaboration and partnership with government agencies and other like-minded organizations, it harnesses its organizational value in championing the cause of a better quality of life for all Filipinos through service excellence.
