Cops raid illegal medical facility for Chinese nationals

Authorities have raided an illegal medical facility for Chinese nationals in Clark, Pampanga.
The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) received a report regarding the shady facility inside a leisure park that treats Chinese nationals suspected of having COVID-19.

CIDG Deputy Director for Admin PBGen. Rhoderick Armamento said seven hospital beds, a big pharmacy, and laboratory testing were in the facility.

Two Chinese nationals were arrested while a patient who was caught inside the facility was brought to a hospital. The management of Clark Development Corporation said “aside from the operators who are now facing criminal charges, the Clark Development Corporation will also hold into account the management of Fontana” for allowing the activity within their property.

The National Task Force Against COVID-19 has emphasized the use of makeshift hospitals to treat COVID-19 is prohibited. Chief Implementer Vince Dizon said an investigation is ongoing to determine who is behind the illegal facility.
