COVID-19 vaccination for teachers pushed

The inclusion of teachers in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) nationwide vaccination program of the government is being proposed at the Senate.

Senate Committee on Basic Education Chairperson Sherwin Gatchalian initiated the suggestion, saying that teachers and other school personnel are considered frontliners as they put their lives at risk making sure students continue learning.

Malacaῆang announced earlier that among the priority recipients of the vaccine are frontline health workers, the vulnerable sector, and uniformed personnel.
